Every time I visit the Alameda home of our in-house designer, Brandy Graham of Market & Nest, I feel like I am in a new place. The woman reorganizes the furniture in her house at least once a week. When my house feels “stale” I shop online and try to spruce it up. Brandy has a different philosophy—to use what you have but mix it up a bit. She transforms the Dining Room into the Living Room and the chandelier is now held up by a strong S hook so you can walk underneath it. Every lamp gets moved to a new spot and she pulls the art off the wall and moves it to a new location. It always feels refreshed and flowing and she hasn’t purchased anything new. Now she comes to my house to do it and it makes me so happy every time it happens. I feel like I have a whole new house with a whole new vibe. Rearranging what you already have reinvigorates your love for all your treasures and resets your mood and allows you to use space in a whole new way.
