In case you missed it, last Friday, Feb 11 was National ‘Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk’ Day. Have you ever spilled milk before? I have two kids and this was a common occurrence in our household, in what feels like decades ago. Of course spilled milk is never fun to clean up but why is there a national day for this and seriously what does this have to do with real estate? Are you one of the hundreds of people who have found “Your House” and put in an offer, only to realize your dreams have been crushed because there are 10 other people putting in the same (or better) offer and you are not the chosen one? This is a reality to so many people but this day is not about spilled milk—it’s about how you move forward after the sting of not getting your house and realizing there is a house that is just for you around the corner. This is a day dedicated to positivity and taking the bad and turning it into something great. The process of buying and selling a house is not always peaches, and there are going to be some tough roads ahead. But when the milk is spilled, there is no use in crying over it. Just clean it up and move on. ~Melanie Anderson
